SCelebrating 79 years at St Gabriel’s
Since this church was dedicated 79 years ago many people have joined us and much has happened to serve the community – this is what some people have said about their connection with this church.

“I remember an extremely warm welcome.”

“Christened in the hut while thechurch was being built.”

“It makes a difference to have a large spiritual family.”

“I’ve been here a long time; I like coming.”

“When we returned from honeymoon, Fr Keith hushed the church … and everyone prayed for us. We felt very loved.”

“We’ve become so much a part of this church & community.”

“I found my spiritual home at St Gabriel’s.”

“I was very warmly welcomed.”

“St Gabriel’s was always friendly.”

“We always look forward to Sunday Worship. Thank you all you have changed our lives.”

“The diamond Jubilee [in 1991] was a great occasion. Some 300 guests attended … the refreshments were magnificent!”

Thank You!
Thank you to everyone who made the St Gabriel’s Proms such a wonderful evening – especially to David Carter who entertained us with such talent and to everyone who organised the church and the refreshments for the evening.
