St Gabriel's North Acton has been in existence for a little over 75 years. During that time the clergy and people have served the local area in being a tangible Christian presence. The large and imposing building may be seen from all about and speaks of the solidness and unchanging love that God has for all his people. The various congregations throughout the time that St Gabriel's has existed have worked tirelessly to help extend the Kingdom of God and show his love for all in need.

As part of the Mission of Jesus to the world, we at St Gabriel's offer to you a warm and encouraging welcome. We continue helping to build the Kingdom of God for the community of North Acton. We welcome into the worshipping community and hope you will feel welcome, at ease and in a prayerful situation with the living God. Our public and private prayer, proclamation of the Gospel and pastoral care for all in need are the main ways in which we live our faith. We welcome you…

Building the Vision

A Simple course to Stimulate Excitement about Being the Church

The course consists of three meetings, one per month April 24th, May 7th and June 16th with a follow up meeting on July 7th. All meetings will gather in the church of a short opening act of worship. After which we split up into smaller working groups that will be accommodated about the church. This course is designed to stimulate a process of vision formation, involving all the laity into thinking creatively about issues relating to mission. It aims to encourage a sense of belonging together; being excited about being the church, and wanting to keep St Gabriel's alive. Whatever the outcome, it should enable a process of renewal and encourage growth to continue.

How does it work?

A small organising team has been formed and is at present undergoing training. Invitations will be issued to every member of the congregation and participation is encouraged as happened when the Archdeacon came to visit. All members of St Gabriel's are expected to make every possible effort to attend.

Each session will have feed back information and this will be gathered by the group organising team and after processing will be presented at the follow up meeting in July which will be to the PCC and whole parish.

Please do make a note of these dates, and make every conceivable effort for you to attend.
