The HD’s are a tangible way in keeping St Gabriel's an attractive place for our visitors and regulars. We meet either on a Wednesday or Saturday morning to help clean and organise the church. After cleaning, a simple soup lunch is provided. Times of when the Holy Dusters meet may be found on the events page. Oh, and to encourage greater spirit – a programme of Music while you dust is a great hit. Who says that cleaning a church is dull?
Music Group

A small but perfectly formed music group assists with encouraging the congregation to sing on a Sunday morning. New singers are particularly welcome and together we Make a joyful noise to the Lord. A brief rehearsal takes place at 10.10am on a Sunday morning by the organ consul.

Youth Mass
On Sunday six times a year , from 7pm, we hold a Mass at St. Gabriel’s specifically for young people (no parents allowed!) lasting around an hour or so (depending on how competitive we get during the games and how many rematches are demanded!).

We have three voluntary-aided church schools linked with St Gabriel’s: St Saviour’s Infant School, Christ Church Junior School and Twyford High School. They are separate institutions but have a very close relationship with one another. Each of the schools achieves high standards, a fact borne out by recent inspections and test results.

The church takes its educational responsibilities very seriously. The vicar is a governor at Christ Church School, and he regularly visits Christ Church and Twyford Schools to celebrate the Eucharist. The schools take their church status equally seriously, with a clear Christian ethos, daily collective worship, and an atmosphere of mutual care and respect among pupils and staff.
